Cancellations.

All cancellations of contracted services require written notification from the client and authorization from TR+S. Any cancellation of work in progress will incur a cancellation fee. This fee will be determined by TR+S based on the progress of the contracted service plus any applicable bank charges related to the contracted services.

Cancellation Protocol for Written Translation

According to the Colombian Consumer Code (Law 1480 of 2011), the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized services that have already begun their execution, such as personalized written translations.

Procedure:

  1. Notification: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to our customer service department.
  2. Status Review: TR+S will assess the progress of your translation project. If the translation has not yet started, it can be canceled free of charge. If the project has already begun, a fee proportional to the work completed up to the time of cancellation will be charged.
  3. Confirmation: The customer will receive a cancellation confirmation and an invoice detailing any applicable charges.

The Consumer Code allows for the establishment of specific conditions for the cancellation of services that require advance planning and allocation of resources, such as interpretation at events.

Given that preparing and booking interpreters involves significant upfront costs, the no-refund policy is justified under these parameters.

Procedure:

  1. Advance Notice: The client must notify in writing of the cancellation of the interpretation service at least ten (10) days before the scheduled date.
  2. Cancellation Fee: If the cancellation is made with the required notice of at least ten (10) days, a fee of 50% of the total quoted value will apply. If the required notice is not given on time, 100% of the total quoted value will be charged, since the performers would have already been assigned and prepared for the event.
  3. Confirmation: A cancellation confirmation will be sent to the customer, along with an invoice detailing the applicable fees.

For any queries related to these Terms and Conditions, users can contact TR+S customer service via the email address specified on the website.

Note: Cancellation fees are considered compensation for damages incurred due to the cancellation, not a penalty. This ensures that TR+S can cover the operational and personnel costs associated with preparing and planning the service.
